WEST SIDE KIDS

Our purpose is to encourage children to know, love and trust God and teach children to magnify His name in all of life.
We invite you to come and experience how our dedicated small group leaders strive to impact every child through developing lasting, loving relationships and coming alongside parents to help raise up the next generation of Christ-followers.

Latest News & Updates

All the latest announcements for the Children’s Ministry are published on the
announcements page on our website and in the weekly West Side Life. The West Side Life is available from the ushers each Sunday morning and at the check-in points for your children.

Parent/Child Dedications – Learn more

It’s exciting when a new child enters a family. Dedicating a child acknowledges God’s sovereignty not only over the child, but also Mom and Dad. This is not an infant baptism.

Meals for Moms – Learn More

The birth of a baby is a wonderful and exciting time in the life of a family. We also know it can be an adjustment. We’d like to come alongside you at this time by providing several meals for new moms and dads shortly after the birth of your baby.

Believers Baptism

Has your child expressed interest in being baptized? At West Side, we believe that preparing children to take the step of baptism is an important responsibility for both the parents and the church. Our process begins with attending Baptism Orientation with your child. Then your child will meet with a children’s director to determine their readiness for baptism. We will coach and prepare them for sharing their testimony at the time of baptism. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to participate in this process and support the child’s decision publicly. Twice a year, we provide a post-baptism class for kids and strongly encourage all children to attend.

Once you’ve attended Baptism Orientation contact: samara@westsidechurch.info
Our goal is to offer a safe environment for your child to learn about Jesus and the Bible and be disciple in their faith.
Safe and Secure Check-In
Every child’s safety is our primary concern. We strive to make sure your child is taken care of both physically and emotionally. A parent or approved adult must sign their child in and out at the check-in counter each time you come. For your child’s safety, only approved staff are allowed beyond the check-in counter.

Screened Staff and Volunteers
We are staffed by both paid and volunteer workers. Paid staff are CPR and First Aid certified. All staff have been carefully screened with a background check on file. We do require that two adults be in each classroom. Only women change diapers and take children to the restroom.

In Case of Emergency
We do require that you stay on the church campus whenever your child is in our care. You will receive a text if there is an emergency.

Special Needs Kids
Children with special needs: contact terri@westsidechurch.info We are all made in the image of God. Each person is uniquely created by Him to glorify Him. It is our goal to nurture and train all children who come to West Side. Our volunteer staff, however, is not generally trained to teach or care for children with special needs but we want to be able to assist you. Contact us prior to registration so that we can partner with you in preparing a strategy that best suits your child and family.
