Baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ, fulfilled by individuals who have humbly subjected themselves to His sovereignty (Matthew 28:19)
We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water to symbolically show forth our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, which has resulted in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life. We believe baptism is a prerequisite to the responsibilities and privileges of church membership. To learn more about baptism at West Side, you will want to attend our Connections Class where our beliefs will be explained in detail.
